Its lunch time!

[Pikachu]

After Kenshin slowed down upon entering the city Pikachu sighed and rested. Kenshin was looking in random directions and Pikachu saw a sign that said diner. "Chuu! Pika!"(Hey stupid! Over there!) He shouted and pulled on Kenshin's hair. But was ignored.

"Piiiiiikaaaaachuuuuuuuu!!!"(Listen to me damn it!!) He yelled and bolts of lightning surrounded him and Kenshin turning him into a charred version of himself. Pikachu hopped off his shoulder and pointed to the diner "Pika pika!"(Right there!)

"chuu"(sorry bout that) pikachu chuckled rubbing the back of his head. Pikachu ran towards the diner and followed in with Kenshin after he opened the door.

"Hello! You two please take a seat and I'll bring you a menu." The pretty girl whose name tag said Tohru on it. Pikachu was sure she was a woman unlike the last time. He glared at Kenshin and hopped into his seat at the small table near a window.

Tohru came towards the table and set down two menus, of course Pikachu couldn't speak to them so he pointed out what he wanted to Kenshin and waited for him to order.

Kenshin heard Pikachu make noises on his head and pull his hair, but before he could respond, he felt an intense shock throughout his entire body. "ORO-RO-RO-RO-RO!?!?!?" he screamed as he felt like he was hit by lightning. He fell to the ground, a steady stream of smoke leaving his mouth as he barely felt Pikachu drag him somewhere.

He came to sitting in a chair in a diner. He marveled at the wierd orbs of light that seemed to be connected to the ceiling, lighting up the entire room, but then he felt Pikachu tugging on him again, and he paid faster attention this time. "Yes, what is it?" he said looking down. He saw too menus in front of them. "Ah, food. Good plan." he said smiling. He opened a menu in front of him...

...And found he couldn't read it. His eyes bugged out again. "Oro!?" he said, but then the words seemed like they were....moving around. Finally, he blinked and they looked just like hiragana and kanji. I must be losing it...first a lightning rodent, and now this. Oro? he thought, still bug eyed.

He called the girl back over. "Excuse me, I'll have some takiyaki and miso and leek soup. And my friend here will have this and this." He said, pointing out what Pikachu had pointed at.

Pikachu sat patiently toying with the fork and spoon on his side of the table...He looked down at his belly after hearing it rumble some more. "Chuuu" he sighed planting his head onto the table.

A few minutes later Tohru came back and set their plates down in front of them. Pikachu's face lit up with happiness as he started gobbling it down. He turned towards the window and saw the most beautiful thing ever. Sitting at the edge of the table behind the salt and pepper was a new bottle of ketchup.

He picked up the bottle with his little hand and pulled the top off with his teeth and drank it down like a soda. "Chuuuuuu" he let out in a sigh while rubbing his plump belly.

He looked over toward the next table and saw another bottle there. He looked at Kenshin then back at the bottle and then hopped over to the next table and sucked down the bottle of ketchup.

His eyes lit up, and he hopped towards the next table sucking down each bottle with no regard for the people sitting at the tables.

Kenshin was zoned out looking at the bizarre orbs of lights hanging from the ceilings when the waitress Tohru returned. "Excuse me, here's your food. You don't have to pay until you leave though, so enjoy your meal." she said with a smile.

"Oro?" Kenshin said, snapping out of it. "Oh, the food! Thank you miss, I'm sure it's good. Excuse me though...um...what are those wierd light-balls hanging from the ceiling?"

Looking up, Tohru giggled and smiled when she looked at Kenshin again. "Those are lights silly, electricity. Enjoy your meal." she said with a bow before she left to another table.

"Elektrishite?" Kenshin said, trying to wrap his mind around the foreign concept. I don't understand...what is this Elekt thing, and how do they keep it in little balls? Saving those thoughts for later, Kenshin looked down at his food, and was passing Pikachu's to the right to his seat, when he noticed Pikachu wasn't sitting there anymore. "Oro?"

Looking around, Kenshin spied Pikachu hopping from table to table, guzzling some red liquid out of bottles on the tables, ignoring the dirty looks from the people sitting at those tables. "ORO!?" he let out, scrambling up and running over. Grabbing Pikachu around the belly, he started bowing to everyone. "My apologies everyone! He is extremely hungry, I promise I will feed him and keep a better eye on him! This one is sorry from the bottom of his heart, so please forgive this one and do not blame this little one."

Running back over to his table, he set Pikachu down in his chair before sitting back in his own. "What am I going to do with you, Pikachu? That was very wrong what you just did, it was. Those people paid good money for those drinks they did."

Pikachu was halfway through guzzling down a bottle of ketchup when Kenshin grabbed him and took him back to the seat.

He smiled innocently "Chuuu" hoping that all would be forgiven.

Pikachu had very well filled up his belly. He laid back in the chair and rubbed his belly waiting for Kenshin to finish up his meal.

Kenshin sighed before smiling, and dug into his own meal. He ate until he couldn't eat anymore. Pushing himself out from the table, he sighed contently. "Now that was good food, yes it was. Better than Kaoru could ever make." Kenshin flinched because that comment usually got him whacked by his beloved, but he forgot that she wasn't here now. He sighed again. Oh Kaoru...I miss you already. What are you doing right now, I wonder?

Reaching into his pockets, Kenshin pulled out a few yen. "Oh...I'm broke. I hope this is enough." He gasped. Do they even take yen here? "Orooo...."

[Pikachu]

"Now that was good food, yes it was. Better than Kaoru could ever make."

"Pika pika..."(what the hell are you talking about?)

Pikachu watched as kenshin pulled something out of his pocket. He wasn't sure what it was, some round and somewhat shiny objects. Back where he came from everything was free, all you had to do was be a pokemon or with a pokemon trainer.

Still looking at his little money and worrying, Kenshin hesitantly called the young lady Tohru back over. "Um yes, um..." he rubbed the back of his head. "I'm sorry but I'm not sure I have enough money, or if it's the kind you accept. All I have is a few yen here." He held out the yen to show her.

"Oro?" A thought suddenly occured to him. Looking down, he smiled at Pikachu. "I don't suppose you have any money, do you?"
