Character Name: Yusuke Urameshi
Nicknames/Psuedonames: Urameshi, Punk, Spirit Detective
Character Age or Age Appearance: 17
Race/Species: Human/Demon
Physical Description: Normal build, somewhat shorter than most guys his age. He always has his hair slicked back, as if it makes him look cool.
Distinguishing Features: His slick hairstyle and his normal pissed-off looking face.
Personal History: Yusuke Urameshi is known to be a stereotypical bad seed; having a spotty attendance record, doing poorly in class, and picking fights with many other students. He dies after saving a small child from being struck by a car, which is something the guardians of the afterlife did not predict. Koenma allows Botan to guide Yusuke and allows him to come back to life after completing an ordeal to show that he is truly a good person. He is then forced to become a Spirit Detective who protects the human race from demons.
During his career as the Detective, Yuske tackles many foes, like the skill hunter Rando, the dangerous Toguro Brothers, and even a former Spirit Detective, Shinobu Sensui. In the end, it is revealed that Yusuke himself has demon blood, and is a candidate for the new Demon World King. He opts to have a tournament to decide it, and loses in the end. He stays in Demon World for two years to train, before returning home to his friends and family.
Personality: Wild and brash, Yusuke rarely thinks before he runs into a situation. However, he is capable of handling himself, so things normally work out ok in the end. He is no master tactician, but he is a genius when it comes to finding new ways to do battle.
Magical Abilities/Special Skills: Yusuke can use his spirit energy to augment his physical attacks, but he can also unleash them in furious energy blasts. His favorite moves are the Spirit Gun, Spirit Shotgun, and Spirit Wave.
Weaknesses: He is not a level-headed person at all, so his rage often leaves him open to attacks. He also finds it impossible to believe that he could lose, so he often underestimates his opponents.

Timeline: Yusuke was heading out for a date with Kayko, when he heard a car screeching around a corner. Even though he could probably survive being hit by one now, he tried to jump out of the way but failed. He fell unconscious, and when he awoke he was in the Pathways.
